Sunnyvale, CA, — Developed for precision optical positioning applications the LFA-1012 Linear Focus Actuator features a patented zero-translation tangential flexure for high speed travel. The clear aperture, 10 mm (0.394 in.) stroke length and standard 12 mm optics mount (or an optional DIN mount for use on microscopes) make this linear focus actuator ideal for: Optical focusing, scanning, interferometry, surface structure analysis, disk drive testing, autofocus systems, confocal microscopy, biotechnology, and semiconductor test equipment.

A frictionless, closed loop, non-contact sub-micron resolution linear displacement sensor having high bandwidth and low noise assures high responsiveness and ultra precision. Positioning resolution of the LFA-1012 actuator is 150 nm, repeatability is 200 nm (short term) and 50 ppm/1000 hr. (long term) with 2.2 lbs. continuous and 3.5 lbs. peak force.

The high speed, 10 mm (0.394 in.) travel, Equipment Solutions’, VCS-10H Voice Coil Stage features an integrated non-contact optical and/or digital position feedback sensor for 200 nanometer (7.87 10-6 in.) repeatability. The low moving mass, voice coil stage is ideal for: Optical focusing and testing, scanning microscopy, medical, semiconductor, circuit board assembly, and micro manufacturing and machining applications.

The compact 33.0 mm x 76.0 mm x 31.8 mm (1.3 in. x 3.0 in. x 1.25 in.), low mass, voice coil stage uses ± 12 VDC to ± 24 VDC. The stages can be supplied with a high performance single axis DC motor controller and amplifier that were developed for applications requiring high temporal and spatial servo precision. Sunnyvale, CA, — The AC421 2 axis angular displacement Autocollimator System from Equipment Solutions, Inc. is a high precision instrument designed to measure very small angular displacements with high sensitivity over distances to 78.7 in. (200.0 cm). Highly portable, the compact 12.3 in. x 2.5 in. x 3.2 in. (31.2 cm x5.1 cm x 8.1 cm), low cost autocollimator can interface with a PC, or handheld color touchscreen interface. For unparalleled accuracy in the laboratory and on the factory floor a DSP signal processor and temperature-controlled lasers and sensors compensate for environmental disturbances.

The AC421 Autocollimator has an optical angular range of ±2160 arcsec (±10mrad), and a sensitivity of 0.1 arcsec (0.5 µrad). The standard 670 nanometer red laser has a beam diameter of <3mm typical (a green laser is optional). Other options include: Stand/mounting base, reference mirrors, USB interface (an RS-232 computer interface is standard), and translation displacement sensor.
